"Growing up with parents in Alpena and Grandparents in Rogers, Plath's was a staple. At Home Mom would have Plath's bulk sausage and bacon. At Grandmas she would fix a loin for dinner. Now 30 years later and 550 mi. away, I realize how special those tastes and smells are. Forgive me for having taken it for granted, now any visit up North includes a stop at the real old fashion butcher shop. The Sights and smells make me 9 again. My daughters love it too.
